So shortly: I need to know if there is a Linux distribution which supports keyboard, trackpad and wifi of the MacBooks of 2019. I connected a keyboard and mouse via USB, but that was still quite useless because then the WiFi still doesn't work.
Because of this, I am uncertain which methods is correct for 2014 version. Every Linux I booted on my MacBook didn't support keyboard, trackpad or Wifi. There are many articles about installing Arch Linux on macbook air 2013 but very few about 2014 version.
I looked over the internet and there are so many different methods to install Arch Linux. Since then it broke and the only change I noticed is that ip link says is now 'dormant'. I have installed the broadcom-wl package and it worked for a night. There are several problems like arch failed to mount efivarfs because it is already mounted. I installed Archlinux on a Macbook Air 13' early 2014 using Android Tether for internet but I still can't get the wifi to work. I tried this tutorial … nd_booting and installed grub and efibootmgr. I was fine until I arrived at the bootloader installation part. I have done some research beforehand and followed the instructions on Arch Linux Macbook installation page. I installed and used rEFInd to boot live-cd.
I have installed Arch Linux on several other devices before, but this is my first time playing around with Mac's EFI bootloadIoader. I'm having trouble with installing Arch Linux on my new Macbook Air 2014.
